Organized for almost three decades now, the Saint-Jean-de-Luz air show offers one of the very last aviation attractions of the season.
This year, the traditional Saint-Jean-de-Luz air show will be held on October 13, from 2 pm to 6 pm – and spectators will be able to see the show from the town’s famous bay. On the ground, there will be plenty of activities set up along the famous Promenade Jacques Thibaud, including the French Air and Space Force’s exhibition vehicle, recruitment stands for the various French armed forces (the Air and Space Force for future Rafale pilots, in addition to the Army and Navy), a Patrouille de France boutique, plenty of goodie giveaways, and much more.
In the air, the most prestigious ambassadors of the French Air Force will be on the scene, with demonstrations by paratroopers from Bayonne’s 1st Marine Infantry Parachute Regiment (RPIMa) and the French Air and Space Force’s aerobatics team.
There will also be a simulated sea rescue featuring a helicopter from the Air Gendarmerie and the local French Sea Rescue Organization (SNSM) teams. Not to mention demonstrations of the Eurocopter EC120 Colibri, the A400M Tactical Display, and the famous Alpha Jets of the Patrouille de France. The perfect way to end the season on a high note!
