Note to collectors! The tenth volume of the “Complete Adventures” of the famous duo brings together the last two comics by the Belgian writer Jean-Michel Charlier (1924-1989).
A trip back to the 1980s and we’re off to Africa! This tenth volume of “The Complete Adventures of Tanguy and Laverdure” brings together the comics “The Spy from the Sky”, illustrated by Patrice Serres, as well as the legendary and very rare “Forbidden Flyover”, illustrated by Al Coutelis.
In “The Spy from the Sky”, published in 1984, Tanguy and Laverdure are sent to Africa on behalf of Delta Airways, an airline that provides cover for special operations. But their real mission is not the one they were assigned at the start… they must actually collect sensitive intelligence, in a country that has fallen victim to the rule of a dictator who has little care for his fellow men. In the midst of this perilous spy operation, they are contacted by a lady who needs their help…
In “Forbidden Flyover”, which was published in 1988, Tanguy and Laverdure are off to Africa once more, on behalf of Delta Airways yet again. This time, they must lend a helping hand to a member of their squadron, who is in grave danger in a totalitarian country called Kombala. In order to complete this new mission, the two accomplices are going to have to take every risk, often putting their lives on the line…
Spying, suspense, vintage, camaraderie, a special report, full of flight scenes that take your breath away… in short, everything fans could want, from the age of seven to the age of seventy-seven!
