Following the fifth volume in the Tanguy & Laverdure “Classic” franchise, we’re off to the Far North for the continuation and conclusion of a very sixties two-parter in which the two buddies go from one surprise to another.
This installment of the “Classic” series about the two indefatigable French aviators is the sequel to volume 5, entitled “Le Mystère du Sabre jaune”. This time, we’re heading for the snowy landscapes of Canada. It’s 1962, and the two pilots parachute over the “Land of Maple Leaf” in pursuit of a third pilot, a Canadian, whose judgment and loyalty seem to have been compromised.
The pursuit soon leads the two aviators to a supposed sawmill. However, the activity taking place in this building doesn’t seem to correspond to a sawmill’s usual activity, with lumberjacks who don’t just take down trees…
With the release of the second part of this two-parter, the stage is set for an expanded plot set against the backdrop of Canada’s wild and spectacular scenery. All this is accompanied, of course, by (very) high-flying aerial scenes!
