To do so, she opted for an eastbound circumnavigation of the globe, at the controls of a Lockheed L-10 Electra and with pilot Fred Noonan. Amelia Earhart covered some 35,000 kilometers with several stopovers before disappearing in the middle of the Pacific Ocean – just 11,000 km from the American coast.
Despite a large number of expeditions, to this day no certainty can be established about the disappearance of the aircraft and its two occupants. This book tells the story of this extraordinary destiny and an unsolved mystery…
