An unmissable event for the Pentecost weekend! To mark the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings, the Le Temps des Hélices is set to impress once again in 2024 with the diversity of aircraft on display.

For its 51st edition, with Dassault Aviation once again a partner, the Le Temps des Hélices airshow at La Ferté-Alais will, as always, offer a top-class line-up, this year including a section dedicated to D-Day, as you can see from the poster opposite, designed by Romain Hugault.

For two days, spectators will be able to get up close to the many aircraft on display in a static exhibition, and for the more advanced, chat with pilots and mechanics. The program will include autograph signings, parades of motorcycles, vintage cars and troops, historical re-enactments – we could go on! The flight presentations will take place in the afternoon, with a show lasting over five hours and including around one hundred aircraft, no less!

Like every year, the show will be organized by theme, from the pioneer era to the latest generation of civil and military aircraft. Among the aircraft involved in the Allied landings on June 6, 1944, the legendary Douglas C-47 B Skytrain, the Supermarine Spitfire PR Mk XIX and the intrepid North American P-51D-30NT will all be in attendance.

Three aircraft in the German Luftwaffe aircraft category will be presented to the public: the Junker Ju-52/3m, Fi-156 Storch and Pilatus P2-06. For the 1914-1918 war, in the “Time of the Aces” category, you will find the “usual” aircraft, such as the Fokker Dr.I Dreidecker Triplane, a replica of the Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5, another of the Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5 and a Bucker Casa 1131 Jungmann. These will all be present, along with many more aircraft! Save the dates: May 18 and 19, in the skies above Essonne, south of Paris.
