For its fifth edition, the Des Étoiles et des Ailes air show has pulled out all the stops and will be taking place on the runways of Carcassonne airport for the first time. The event will be held on September 21 and 22.
A not-to-be-missed event for all aviation enthusiasts in the Occitanie region! The Des Étoiles et des Ailes air show may still be a fledgling compared to many similar events, but it’s well worth a look—all the more so as it is taking place in a region that is particularly attached to aeronautics (and vice versa), where some 100,000 people are employed in the industry. Over the course of the two days, local training centers and companies will be delighted to welcome and answer the many questions schoolchildren and students have about the aeronautics sector at a career forum—in addition to the 30 or so exhibitors on site.
In the sky, the line-up will be just as impressive, with the Patrouille de France, Patrouille Morane Marine, Baron 58, Patrouille Coyotte, Yak-50, Trojan T-28, North American Rockwell OV-10 Bronco, Spitfire, MD 312 Flamant, Noratlas, Breguet Alizé, Fouga Magister and many more in attendance. In short, there’ll be a whole host of stars and wings, making for an event that lives up to the meaning of its name!
