Open to the public, the Gap-Tallard air show is gearing up for an exciting event this year with legendary aircraft and an aerobatics display.
Organized at the initiative of the Hautes-Alpes department and the Agatha Association for users of the Gap-Tallard airfield, the program for this year’s event is quite varied. Unlike many air shows, which offer similar content over two days, the Gap-Tallard air show will be organizing static aircraft displays and initiation flights on Saturday, with air demonstrations to follow on Sunday.
On the agenda are some fifty legendary aircraft (including Skyraider, Bronco, Noratlas, etc.), biplanes (Stearman and Caudron), Rafale Marine (for a combat demonstration), Mirage (tactical demonstration), gliders, ULAs, helicopters, and more. The French Air Force’s aerobatic team will also be performing, with a demonstration from one of the best in class, Nicolas Ivanoff, who has been recognized several times over as a world champion.
There will also be opportunities to meet with players from the Hautes-Alpes aviation sector (recreational flying, the light aircraft industry and training), in addition to a large number of stands, including those of the Patrouille de France (in particular one featuring a simulation on board an Alphajet). And let’s not forget the presentations of books on aviation. There will be something for everyone: adults and children alike!
