Graduated from SupAéro in 1969, Jean-Claude Arnoux was a great systems engineer and a former digital technical director.
Originally from the Alpes-Maritimes department, Jean-Claude Arnoux graduated from SupAéro in 1969.
In 1971, he integrated Dassault Aviation with the Weapons Systems Division, working first on the Mercure automatic pilot, then on the Mirage 2000 weapons system.
In 1981, he became “aircraft manager” of the export versions of the Mirage 2000 for India, Egypt and Greece.
In 1998, he assisted the Franco-British partnership as technical director of the joint venture created between BAE Systems and Dassault Aviation, then joined the System Technical Division as program manager.
In 2003, he was appointed director of the Digital Technical Division, which he prepared for the merger between the different “systems” entities of the General Technical Directorate. He retired in 2006.
Great systems engineer and former digital technical director, Jean-Claude Arnoux died on December 30, 2017 at the age of 71.
