Dassault Aviation took part in the open days organized at Air Force Base BA 125 in Istres on September 28 and 29, 2024. The event marked the 90th anniversary of the French Air and Space Force, the 60th anniversary of the Strategic Air Forces (FAS), and the 80th anniversary of Operation Dragoon in Provence and the Liberation.

Our CEO Éric Trappier was present at BA 125 alongside General Jérôme Bellanger, Chief of Staff of the French Air and Space Force.

Several flight demonstrations were organized, including the Rafale Solo Display, the Rafale “Requin Mike” patrol, and the Patrouille de France. The agenda also included a flyover specially organized by the Strategic Air Forces to celebrate their 60th anniversary.

On the ground, a static display featured old and new aircraft, including a Falcon 6X currently undergoing a flight test campaign to prepare for the transition to 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

Aircraft tours, educational activities, and a variety of stands were available to all (the event drew approximately 50,000 visitors).

In this context, we showcased the professions represented at our flight test base (near BA 125), set up our boutique “The Store”, and offered digital demonstrations.
